Get Glowing Summer Skin In Winter




Winter can be a nightmare for our skin. and with the lack of sunlight and shorter days, it can cause a lot more breakouts and damage to the skin if we don’t look after it is properly. So how do we get that summer glow during the colder months?

Drink Plenty Of Water

H2o equals hydration, which means hydrated skin.  Drinking plenty of water is a simple but effective way of keeping the body hydrated and flushing out all of those nasty toxins that your body takes in. It reduces any breakouts and adds that liveness to the skin. It’s recommended you drink about 1.5liters a day, but even if you have a couple of pints a day, it can make a huge and noticeable difference.

 

A Good Skincare Routine

All of us need a good skincare routine that we do on the daily. There are so many dirty particles in our daily lives. They exist around the workplace, outdoors and in the home. So you want to be sure you’re using a good cleansing oil to take off all of the makeup and the dirt sitting on your skin. Exfoliate regularly and use a daily moisturizer to keep the skin protected. Using a skin hydrating serum will also give that extra moisture boost to the skin especially on days where you’ve maybe not drunk enough water.

 

Exfoliate & Dry Brush

Exfoliating was mentioned earlier, but it shouldn’t just end on your face. Exfoliate your whole body regularly when you’re in the shower. Use one that’s got natural exfoliants in it and is made up of ingredients that promote radiant skin. Look for any that have Lemon, Coconut Oil, Aloe Vera, Papaya or Cucumber in them. These are all known to provide glowing skin.

 

Dry Brushing doesn’t mean brushing your teeth with a dry toothbrush. It’s got slightly firm and coarse bristles that help exfoliate the dead skin away. It also stimulates the blood flow in the body to help repair and rejuvenate the skin.

 

Get Some Sleep

All of this seems too simple, right? But sleep is where our body gets the chance to repair itself, so it’s essential to get as much of it as possible. Around nine hours to be exact. Try and give your body some triggers before going to bed to help wind down. Like brushing your teeth or getting into your pajamas at a certain time. These moments will signal your body to relax so that you can get to sleep quicker.

 

Use Fake Tan

Well if you want a quick way (that’s also kind of cheating) to get glowing skin, you could always use a fake tan to get a head start. Try and go for liquid-based tans as opposed to exposing yourself on a sunbed, as this will only damage your skin in the long-run. There’s also a lot of different forms when it comes to fake tanning. You can get it in an oil, lotion that gradually builds and even a foam one. Find one that’s best suited for your skin.
